Wisdom The book is known in the Septuagint (the early Greek version of the Old Testament) as Wisdom of Solomon and in the Latin tradition as The Book of Wisdom. Though neither Solomon (nor any individual for that matter) is ever named in the book, the author assumes the persona of the tenth-century Israelite king renowned for his wisdom.
